Drainage and Exhaust of Pressure Measuring Unit of Yokogawa EJA Differential Pressure Transmitter
Dec 20, 2018

Yokogawa EJA differential pressure transmitter is connected by vertical piping. When the guide pipe is properly placed, the liquid/gas can be self-discharged without additional operation. The residual condensate (or gas) in the pressure measurement part will bring errors to the pressure measurement. If the pressure guide tube can not be self-drained after installation, the drainage/gas screw will be loosened and the retained liquid (gas) will be completely emptied. Because the discharge of liquid/gas will affect the pressure measurement, it can not be carried out when the test circuit is working.

Drainage of the Pressure Measuring Unit of Yokogawa EJA Differential Pressure Transmitter

A. Slowly unscrew the drainage screw or plug to remove the retained liquid in the pressure measuring part.

If the retention of liquid (or gas) is toxic and harmful, appropriate measures should be taken to avoid physical contact or inhalation of human vapor. All retained liquids (or gases) are discharged along the axis of the drain/gas screw or bolt.

B. After the retained liquid is completely discharged, screw on the drainage screw or bolt.

The drainage bolt is screwed to the torque of 10Nm, and the drainage bolt is screwed to the torque of 34-39N. M.

Exhaust from the pressure measuring section of Yokogawa EJA differential pressure transmitter

A. Slowly unscrew the exhaust screw to discharge the gas in the pressure measuring part

B. After the gas in the pressure measuring part is emptied, screw the exhaust screw. The exhaust screw is screwed to the torque of the torsion screw 10N.m.
